Street nameplates
Our responsibility regarding street signage is limited to street name plates, which display a street's name at either end of a road.
You should report any other road signage to WNC Highways.
For new developments, it is the developer's responsibility to install the street name plates.
For our street name plate specification please email [email protected].
Our role is to:
- arrange the repair or removal of damaged street name plates
- install missing street name plates
- replace faded street name plates that are no longer legible within the West Northamptonshire area
We do not provide cleaning or pruning services, nor do we have the budget or resources to offer these services.
When reporting a street name plate, please provide a photograph of its condition, unless the name plate is missing. This will help us determine the required actions and eliminate delays in completing an inspection.
Inspections are scheduled regularly in batches, as it is more time-effective to inspect multiple street name plates rather than individual ones when reported.
To report a damaged, missing, or faded street name plate, please submit our online form or email [email protected], providing the location of the street name plate and a photograph if possible.
