St Matthews Nursery & Pre-School

Early years childcare for children 0-5 years. St Matthews is an independent nursery that values a 'home from home' environment. We like to consider our parents and their children to be an extension of our own family, therefore,we expect high standards of education and experiences for the children as we would our own. The setting is based on one level with stage specific rooms and is inclusive to all with three designated safeguarding leads and SENco-ordinator.

The baby room is purposely arranged with soft furnishings to create a safe and supportive home environment. The baby room is overseen by a member of staff who has been trained on the baby room project.The toddler room has access to a grassed garden area where we promote understanding of the world with our growing garden, alongside other developmental areas.The pre-school room has access to a free flow area consistently throughout the day, access is always available as we have an all weather canopy having the impact that children may go out in all weathers. This area is separated from the large playground area which has soft play surface and is fenced all round with CCTV observing every area.We have a designated first aid room with first aiders on site at all times and a designated parent room for all activities involving parental involvement.We have a company who delivers our food weekly, who are recognised by the food standards agency, who provide healthy, nutritious meals with a sugar wise stamp of approval and helps us achieve our five star food hygiene rating. The nursery is situated within an environment that is diverse and multicultural.
