Description
The Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills (Ofsted) is a non-ministerial department of the UK government. Ofsted inspects, regulates, and reports on a range of education settings in England. These include childminders, child day care settings, children's centres, children's social care departments, the Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service (CAFCASS), state schools, some independent schools, teacher training providers, colleges, and learning and skills providers. Ofsted also monitors the work of the Independent Schools Inspectorate.
