The Turing Scheme

The Turing Scheme logo

Description

The Turing Scheme is a UK-wide scheme that provides funding for international placements and exchanges in education and training across the world. It replaced the Erasmus (EU scheme) when Britain left the EU. The scheme provides an opportunity for UK organisations to offer life-changing study and work experiences abroad for their pupils, students, and learners.

Turing Scheme funding is a contribution towards the costs of international educational placements. In most cases, it is provided on a per-student basis.

Funding is open to UK organisations from across the education and training sector through higher education, further education, vocational education and training, and schools projects.

The Turing Scheme is the UK programme for global educational opportunities. From the 2024 to 2025 academic year, the Turing Scheme will be delivered directly by the Department for Education (DfE). An independent organisation will assess applications.
