Description

The Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People provide care and support for babies, children, and young people with serious and terminal conditions, and their whole family, across the East Midlands.

They offer a wide ranging of support:

  • palliative care and end of life care, 
  • symptom management
  • emergency care
  • respite and short breaks 

These are available in the hospice, at home and in hospital.  

Rainbows has a team of palliative care nurse specialists who are supported by advanced clinical practitioners, GPs, community paediatricians, and hospital doctors. It has access to specialist advice where required.

Referrals can be made by anyone involved with the child and family, including the family themselves.

Emergency referrals for palliative or end-of-life care can be made at any time. Rainbows do everything they can to respond very quickly.
