Some of our vacancies require that you have a full driving licence and a car. This information is outlined within the roles.

£10.42 per hour pay rate may be higher based on experience.

About the employer

The employer is the parent of a 8 year old autistic boy with limited understanding.

An experienced special needs tutor for 1:1 support, who will be able to help him use pecs for communication.

Main duties

  • to assist the employer’s son with outdoor activities in the garden, or out walking
  • to assists the employer’s son with indoor activities such as puzzles, painting etc.
  • occasional help/supervision with showering, dressing, toileting and feeding (with mother present at all times)
  • a full clean driving license and use a car is essential
  • any other task which the employer may reasonably ask you to do which falls within the scope of the job as a Personal Assistant

Additional employment information

The successful applicant will have experience with autistic children. Must be friendly, able to give empathetic support, while respecting independence but also able to take instruction.

A can-do attitude and aptitude to assist the employer’s son with activities are needed with a willingness to help him explore new activities, joining in when appropriate.

Must be flexible, trustworthy and active with a good sense of humour.

About the employer

The employer is a family of a 9-year-old autistic boy who starts saying some words.

An experienced special needs tutor for 1:1 support to very happy boy.

Main Duties 

  • To assist the employer’s son with outdoor activities in the garden or out walking
  • To assist the employer’s son with indoor activities such as puzzles, painting etc 
  • Occasional help or supervision with taking shower, dressing up, using a toilet and feeding with mother to be present at all times
  • Preferable person will have a full clean driving licence and a car but this is not essential 
  • Any other task which the employer may reasonably ask you to do which falls within the scope of the job as a Personal Assistant

About the employer

Looking for Female PA to support 7-year-old with ASD who is nonverbal.

The working pattern is subject to change in 48 hours’ notice examples of this can be as follows:

Saturday 10:30am to 1:30pm and Sunday 9am to midday
Saturday 9am to 3pm
Sunday 9am to 3pm

Main duties

  • To assist the employer’s son with outdoor activities like walks around local parks with push chair provided, swimming or trampolining
  • Any other task which the employer may reasonably ask you to do which falls within the scope of the job as a Personal Assistant
  • The applicant will need to be available over the weekend who is flexible, full licence - also, able to provide clear concise communication regarding the child and attend meetings about the child

About the employer

A young man, M, 17 years of age needs support to engage in energetic leisure activities, giving the employer, his full time carer and mother, occasional respite from her caring role.

A personal assistant is sought to support M. The likely candidate will share M’s interest in physical exercise, able and willing to join in with him at times.

Main duties

To accompany, and possibly join in with, M in his favourite pastimes at the gym , trampolining and other physically active pursuits.

  • ensure his safety at all times as M has limited awareness of dangers when out in the community
  • supporting with M’s access of the local community
  • any other task which the employer may reasonably ask you to do which falls within the scope of the job as a Personal Assistant.

The successful applicant will be friendly, able to give empathetic support, and resilient to his occasional challenging behaviours.

About the employer

The employer is a young man with learning difficulties and sometimes challenging behaviours. He lives in the family home, employing a team of support workers throughout the week.

He has no road sense or stranger danger awareness and so supervision at all times while out of the home to ensure his safety is essential.

A vacancy for a Sunday worker has arisen. Other shifts may be available after satisfactory completion of a probationary period.

Main duties

  • Supervise the employer while he has his breakfast and other morning routines
  • Help with cleaning and tidying the kitchen afterwards, as necessary
  • Drive the employer on outings to country parks and other outdoor leisure venues
  • Supervise his lunchtimes and support as with breakfast
  • Drive the employer on outings in the afternoon as above
  • Any other task which the employer may reasonably ask you to do which falls within the scope of the job as a Personal Assistant.

Additional employment information

The successful applicant will be friendly, able to give empathetic support and preferably experienced with managing challenging behaviours. These present mainly as stubbornness and not physical challenges.

A driver with full driving licence, aged 25 years plus for insurance purposes, is essential to drive the employer in his mobility car.

Must be flexible, trustworthy and active with a good sense of humour.
