Find Remembrance events taking place across West Northants

Communities across West Northamptonshire will come together in Remembrance in November, to honour those who served and remember their sacrifice.
There are a number of events taking place across West Northants, including:
Northampton’s Remembrance event will take place on Sunday 10 November.
The parade is set to start from the Market Square at 9.30am, then follow a route down The Drapery pausing for the Service of Remembrance at All Saints' Church at 10am. The service will include hymns and prayers, along with a collection for the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal.
Following the service, a wreath-laying ceremony will take place from 11am in the Town and County War Memorial garden behind the church on Wood Hill, with the playing of the Last Post and a two-minute silence observed at 11am. The memorial garden will remain open for the public to lay wreaths and pay their respects.
At 11.45am the parade will re-assemble to march via Mercers Row, George Row and St Giles Square, past the Guildhall, to salute the Lord-Lieutenant of Northamptonshire, James Saunders Watson Esq and the Mayor of Northampton, before ending on Derngate.

Daventry Town Council and the Royal British Legion invite the public to join them on Sunday 10 November for the annual Remembrance Day Parade and Service. The parade will step off at around 10:30am from outside Argos on Daventry High Street (60-66 High St, Daventry NN11 4HU).
The parade will process along the High Street to the War Memorial via Abbey Street. Members of the public are invited to gather on the path opposite the War Memorial for a short service to include Roll of Honour, wreath-laying, the Last Post and 2-minute silence. The parade will then march to Holy Cross Church for a Remembrance Day service at 11:30am.
There will also be a short service held on Armistice Day, Monday 11 November at 11am by the brick gazebo at the top of Sheaf Street, outside the Post Office.

A Remembrance Service will be held at St Lawrence Church (Chantry Lane, NN12 6YY), on Sunday 10 November at 10:50am. Attendees are requested to take their seats by 10:30am.
On Sunday 10 November, Brackley’s Remembrance parade will set off at 2:30pm from Winchester House (44 High Street, NN13 7AZ), and will proceed down the High Street.
A service of Remembrance will take place at 3pm at Brackley War Memorial in the Market Square, followed by wreath-laying. Find out more on the Brackley Town Council website.
Billing Covenanted Churches Together and Billing Parish Council’s annual Remembrance commemorations will take place on Sunday, 10 November.
Little Billing: Attendees are invited to gather All Saint Church Little Billing at 9.30 am.
Great Billing: Attendees are invited to gather at the war memorial on High Street, Great Billing at 10.45am.
Both events will include a Remembrance reading, a two-minute silence, and the laying of community wreaths.
Brixworth remembers on Sunday 10 November, leaving at 10am from outside the Library and Community Centre (Spratton Road, Brixworth, NN6 9DS) and walking to All Saints Church for an outdoor family service at 10:30am.
This will be followed by wreath-laying and 2-minute silence at 11am at the Memorial.
Crick Remembrance Service will be held on Sunday 10 November at 10:45 at the War Memorial by the Church.
On Sunday 10 November,Duston Parish Council will host a Remembrance Sunday service at 10am at St Luke’s Church, followed by wreath-laying at the War Memorial and then a service at Duston United Reformed Church at 10.30am.
Duston’s Poppy Cascade will be on display again this year at St Luke’s Bank from 26 October – 11 November and members of the public are invited to make their own dedication poppy to be included in the display.
The community’s annual Remembrance commemoration will be held on Sunday 10 November.
People are invited to meet beside the memorial benches in Grangewood Park for 10:45am. There will be a short gathering to include a remembrance reading, 2-minute silence at 11am and laying of community wreaths.
St Bartholomew’s Church in Green’s Norton (NN12 8BL) will be hosting a Remembrance Service on Sunday, 10 November at 10.45am.
A Remembrance service will take place at 10:45am on Sunday 10 Novemberat the Parish Church of St Luke.
Stowe Gardens (New Inn Farm, Buckingham, MK18 5EQ) is the UK’s official host for the British D-Day 80 memorial exhibition. It is open to the public until 11 November 2024.
Created by community artist, Dan Barton, the installation consists of 1,475 silhouettes of Second World War military personnel. Each figure represents the number of fatalities under British command on 6 June 1944.
Visits are free for National Trust members. Normal entry fee applies to non-members.
Join Upton Parish Council on Monday 11 November their annual Remembrance Service.
The service will be held at the Wooden Soldier starting at about 10.50am and finishing around 11.15am.
The Wooden Soldier is in Upton Parish Council Memorial Car Park on Berrywood Road, between St Crispin Social Club and Spectrum (NN5 4XD).
