Current works
We must ask that vehicles are not parked on the road within the works area during the road closure periods. We also recommend you plan extra time for your journeys.
We hope this information is helpful and we apologise for any inconvenience these essential works may cause. We will make every effort to minimise any unnecessary disruption.
Our team on site will be ready to assist you with any issues you may have during the work and we hope you will find our employees courteous and helpful.

We will be carrying out carriageway resurfacing, installation of anti-skid and traffic loops along the eastbound carriageway of the A4500 Weedon Road, Northampton.
Where: The junction with Upton Valley Way to the Sixfields interchange

Traffic Management
A road closure will be in place for the duration of the night works with an approved diversion route.
Residents
Access only for residents to Weedon Close and The Hawthorns. However, please expect delays. For Weedon Close residents please access Weedon Road via St Crispin's Drive. For The Hawthorns please access at the main closure point at Upton Valley Way junction. The site team will assist with access requirements. All other residents will have to adhere to the diversion route.
Emergency vehicles
We aim to maintain access for emergency vehicles when safe to do so.
Pedestrians and cyclists
Cyclists will be asked to dismount the bicycle and walk on the footway. The footways will remain open to pedestrians. During the works there will be temporary closures to pedestrian crossings and pedestrians will be diverted down the next available crossing point. Please ask a member of the site team for assistance.
Public transport
Bus services will be notified of the works and will make alternative arrangements. Please contact your local bus provider for further information.

We will soon be undertaking works to construct a new section of footway.
This will include excavating the grass verge, installing a new kerb line and asphalt footway tying into the existing. We will also be installing new gully and drainage connections in the carriageway and relocating the existing lamp column.

Traffic Management
- 10 February to 11 February 2025 full closure - no parking on the carriageway during these times (prep work for carriageway resurfacing)
- 11 February to 14 February and 17 February to 21 February 2025 half closure (in place 24/7)
During the 24hr closure, vehicular access will not be available due to the road being unpassable. Pedestrian access will always be available.
All vehicles will need to be removed from driveways between properties 11 and 63. We ask that you refrain from parking on the carriageway in these extents (area of carriageway reconstruction and prep).
- 17 February to 21 February 2025 full closure - no parking on the carriageway during these times (prep and iron work)
- 24 February to 28 February 2025 full closure - no parking on the carriageway during these times (prep and iron work)
- 3 March to 7 March 2025 full closure - no parking on the carriageway during these times (carriageway resurfacing)
