Overstone Park Primary School update - January 2025

Overstone Park Primary School has received significant interest for its 30 reception places for September 2025. Steady progress continues to deliver the new school. However, unforeseen delays have unfortunately pushed the school's completion to April 2026.

To ensure pupils can start in September 2025, Wootton Park School will temporarily host Overstone Park Primary pupils for the first two terms. Both schools are part of the Northampton Free School Trust. Wootton Park School will provide a dedicated area for the reception class, ensuring a safe learning environment.

Efforts are being made to make this arrangement accessible for families, including wraparound care. These temporary plans are subject to final approval by the Department for Education which is expected by the time Reception offers are made in mid-April 2025.

Applying for a reception place at Overstone Park Primary is risk-free, as it is in addition to the usual Local Authority process. Successful applicants will receive two offers on April 16th. Further information events and tours of Wootton Park School will be held before accepting offers.

A final Open Event for Reception 2025 starters is on 8 January at Wootton Park School. Interested parents and carers are welcome to attend.
