Alderman Caryl Billingham MBE

Caryl Billingham has been a constant source of strength and compassion in the town of Brackley for over four decades, having served 31 years as a member of South Northamptonshire Council. 

Caryl’s role as President of the Brackley Royal British Legion branch, showcase her diverse interests and unwavering support for community initiatives. 

Caryl has been the President of the local amateur dramatic society, a role she held for over 20 years. She has now retired earlier in 2024 but remains a member.

Another role that Caryl held for 10 years was Chairman of Brackley & District Band. Caryl has since retired from chairing though she remains a loyal friend. 

From her exemplary service as Mayor to her unwavering dedication to numerous charitable organisations, Caryl's selfless contributions have touched the lives of countless individuals. This has earned her the utmost respect and admiration of her peers and constituents alike. 

In recognition of her exceptional dedication and service to the community of Brackley, Caryl was awarded the MBE in the Queen’s 90th Birthday honours in 2016.
