Mediated Learning Support Approach (MeLSA)

Mediated Learning Support Approach (MeLSA) training and supervision will be provided jointly by the North and West Northamptonshire Educational Psychology Services. MeLSA is a training and supervision programme developed by Educational Psychologists. It builds capacity in schools to support independent learning in students.

The training focuses on the psychology of learning and a type of support known as mediation, which empowers learners to become independent thinkers.

MeLSA is a universal intervention and can be used across age ranges, stages of education and at different levels – individual, small group and whole class.

The school staff will attend the initial 6 day training and then attend half termly supervision sessions.
