Accessing support for adult carers

A carer is someone who looks after and supports a family member, friend or neighbour who could not manage without their help. This could be due to age, physical or mental illness, or disability.

If you care for someone you are entitled to information and support for yourself.

Northamptonshire Carers

Northamptonshire Carers are commissioned to support unpaid carers. They provide services and resources to help carers look after their loved ones, improve their own well-being, and connect with other carers.

They have delegated responsibility to provide services under the Care Act (2014) on behalf of West Northamptonshire Council.
