Take a leaf out of the local football clubs and score some goals, or mirror the rugby superstars at the Saints and toss the pigskin. You’ll find local groups, clubs and opportunities to get your pulse racing, stay fit and healthy, plus have a lot of fun.
Wildlife and water
This is an area where outstanding natural beauty is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the beautiful countryside in West Northamptonshire, including the vitally important River Nene and canals. You can find grasslands, woodlands and wetlands within our boundaries. These are home to diverse wildlife and ecosystems.
Learn about local deer, muntjac, badger and foxes with the Wildlife Trust Northants, as well as the smaller wildlife like voles and kites (make sure to take your camera when you step outdoors to photograph these natural beauties!).
The ‘Boddington Meadow’ is an unploughed piece of land which encourages the growth of the less common and beautiful UK flowers, you can visit to spot some of their rarer blooms.
