How to get support from our Wellbeing Service
Have you:
- noticed any recent changes in your health, or needed to make changes to your life?
- struggled to manage a health condition or your general wellbeing?
- found you sometimes lack motivation, feel lonely or isolated?
If the answer is yes to any of these questions, you could get up to 12 weeks of one-to-one support from one of our dedicated Wellbeing Advisors, with a follow-up after 6 months.
In the event of an emergency, dial 999.
Who can get support?
This service is open to West Northamptonshire residents aged 18 or over.
We will direct you to more suitable services if you are:
- experiencing severe mental illness or in crisis - find urgent mental health help and support
- currently being supported for drug and alcohol addiction - find drug and alcohol support
- living in a care home - contact Adult Social Care

How it works
Using a variety of assessments, you will work together with a trained Wellbeing Advisor to identify your needs, receive personalised support and improve areas of your health and wellbeing, helping you achieve a better quality of life.
Appointments take place on a weekly or fortnightly basis for up to one hour.
These can either be at one of our community venues or as a Walk and Talk appointment.
The first two and the final appointments will take place face-to-face so assessments can be completed.
Growing your independence
There are lots of ways you can get more active, build your connections and improve your social confidence.
You might like to meet with your Advisor to 'Walk and Talk'.
We can also support you to try:
Clubs, groups, events and volunteering opportunities in your local community
Get Up and Go Groups to improve strength, balance, mobility and confidence
Friendship groups - come along for a cuppa and a catch up
Improving your lifestyle
Your Advisor can help with:

Low-level mental health and emotional wellbeing support

Contacting organisations that can support with issues such as housing and money advice

Changing behaviours to make a positive impact on your life, such as stopping smoking, managing alcohol use, and improving nutrition
We can create a support plan to help you to reach your goals. We can also refer you to services including memory clinics, continence services or community pharmacies.
